Biography
You probably know me as the guy who speaks about Disney. I have written six books, and one of the most popular is the Disney Difference. I have held planned giving roles for major universities, social services organizations and major hospital systems. I am a licensed attorney with the Florida Bar, and have been in planned giving for more than 20 years. I have spoken at CGP, AFP ICON, AFP LEAD, AHP, CASE, Mensa, Nasa and the Practical Planned Giving Conference. I speak on donor relations, marketing, board development and fundraising, and of course, planned giving. My speciality is conveying difficult subjects in easy-to-understand terms. My most popular presentations are: The Disney Difference, To get More Gifts, Think Like a Donor, Fundraising for Nonprofit Board Members, and Planned Giving for People who Don't do (or haven't done) Planned Giving. I offer short training sessions as well as half-day, full-day and multi-day retreats.

The Disney Difference (or Donor Relations the Disney Way)
Presentation Description
What if Walt Disney were the CEO of your organization? What would you do differently? How much more money would you raise? This session looks at the successes of Walt Disney and how we can apply his philosophy, his creativity and his approach to our mission and running our organizations. We’ll also look at some contemporary examples of companies that are doing it rightly, and we’ll have some fun as we learn ways of being more like Walt.

To Get More Gifts, Think Like a Donor

How to Give a Great Speech or Presentation
Presentation Description
Statistics show people are more afraid of public speaking than dying, but they should not be. Together we will learn how to craft an outstanding presentation. Whether you are talking one-on-one, asking for a raise, speaking to a small group or small city, we will look at some common myths about speaking and why some things that are common are designed to make things worse (for example, learn why I never take questions at the end of a presentation, but serve my audiences even better by not doing so).
