Biography
JiHae Munro is a senior advancement professional with extensive experience in complex healthcare and higher education institutions since 2007. She currently serves as Senior Director of Gift Planning, Principal Gifts at the University of Southern California, where she collaborates with alumni, faculty, and colleagues to advance impactful philanthropy and support strategic donor engagements. She also plays a key role in expanding philanthropic and gift planning activity on the East Coast.
Previously, JiHae led gift planning at Barnard College and served as Regional Director of Gift Planning for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Her professional expertise spans principal, planned, and blended giving strategies; stewardship; volunteer engagement; campaign development; marketing; and planned gift administration.
JiHae is on the board of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners and previously served on the executive committee and board of the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York. As secretary and DEIB chair, she strengthened board culture, strategic planning, and leadership development, and co-chaired Planned Giving Day NY in 2023 and 2024.
She holds an MBA from Temple University and a BA from Amherst College and is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) and Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE®).
JiHae is deeply committed to inclusive leadership, professional growth, and strengthening the gift planning profession. She and her husband enjoy hiking and getting to know their new community in the Atlanta metro area.
